Preparing reports for developers and stakeholders

Turn one technical report into the right view for every person involved.

4 min read

1

Start with the executive view

Use the overview to explain overall health, biggest risks, and the next practical focus. This is the best place for non-technical stakeholders to begin.

2

Give developers the evidence

For implementation, point developers to exact checks, affected URLs, evidence, and section-specific details. Avoid turning the whole report into a single vague task.

3

Package client updates around outcomes

When sharing progress, group updates by impact: search visibility, speed, accessibility, security posture, and content quality.

4

Keep the next step visible

Every stakeholder report should make the next action obvious. That could be a fix, an owner, a retest, a note, or a board task.
